Hi Ryan,

Could you please send me by email your external IP address ? (http://www.myipaddress.com). We will investigate why you have no response when calling our script from the extension.
Thanks for your help !

Looks like I spoke too soon. I've had several cases now where FireFox threw an error about an unresponsive script. It was extension.js coming from cocomment.com that was causing the error. So back to disabled by default the extension goes.

I do have Firebug, so if I notice it again I'll pass along the information.

And oddly I went and re-enabled the extension and haven't noticed the jumping screen issue since then so maybe that was something y'all have gotten fixed.

What forum software do you support? I spend a lot of times on forums and haven't ever noticed the coComment box under anything I've written.

Hi Ryan,
Tks for your info. It helps us identify the problem and fix it. I need to ask you if you also have firebug installed then you mightbe able to send us "Net" information from this tool (it gives us the time to load/execute each component of a page).
Regarding forums we already support some, and as always working on adding more.

Tks for the help.

Hopefully you'll come back Joaquin, so I've got a question while you're here.

Any plans for supporting forum posts? I post on probably 20 different forums, but only check in with a handful regularly enough to keep track of the conversations. I think being able to track forum postings would be a great addition to your software.

It's not any specific site that's slow. It's that having the extension enabled slows down Firefox overall.

And I've had several cases, and again it's not specific to one site, where it keeps flashing that it's submitting to coComment but never gets past that point and never submits the comment. Next time I notice that I'll pop over to your site and leave a comment.

Overall though I really like how your software works. The fact that once it's enabled it's pretty brainless to keep track of comments is great. And I've still got the extension installed on every computer I use FireFox on, I just keep it disabled until I post a comment somewhere. Then I right click on the little CO icon and enable it.

And I went ahead and edited out your email address from your comment. Spam is a terrible thing :)
