WordPress cross site scripting vulnerability

The WordPress development team has released a new version that patches a vulnerability which can allow attackers to execute arbitrary scripts. The exploit is caused by an input validation error in the file ‘wp-admin/edit-post-rows.php’ when used with the posts_columns parameter.

Wordpress plugin to view user meta data

One of the really great, although probably overlooked by most users, features of Wordpress is that you can store meta data on your users. You probably already know that you can do this for posts, but it’s possible to use the _usermeta table to keep track of custom user settings as well.
